Abu Dhabi, UAE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome from a 40,000-strong crowd at the ‘AHLAN MODI’ event in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. The event, organized by the Indian community in the UAE, saw participation from Indians across all seven Emirates and various communities.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi praised the Indian diaspora’s contribution to strengthening relations between India and the UAE. He expressed gratitude to the UAE leadership for their support and care towards the Indian community, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vision for India:
Highlighting India’s progress in the last decade, Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence in the nation becoming the third-largest economy by 2030 and achieving developed nation status (“Viksit Bharat”) by 2047. He also emphasized India’s role as a “Vishwabandhu,” a friend to the world, contributing to global progress and well-being.
Strong Indian Presence:
The UAE is home to approximately 3.5 million Indian nationals, the largest such population abroad. The ‘AHLAN MODI’ event, meticulously planned for months, showcased the vibrant Indian community and its strong ties to the host nation.
